When life gets too busy, too hectic, or I get too frazzled, I need to take a cue from nature, and its simple reminders…
-I do not have to control everything. Just as the seasons help the tree go through its changes, I can allow others to help me or let the flow of life unveil wonders in its own time.
-A tree must have deep roots to withstand a vast array of conditions from drought, wind, snow, and flood. I have to keep myself grounded and stay true to myself to get through the hard times.
-The flexible braches of a tree are the ones that survive the wind storms and winter burdens. To survive those hard moments in my life, I have to adopt the flexibility of change, and not remain rigid under the stress and pressure.
-Every living plant needs water, sunlight and air to grow. Don’t deprive yourself of the essentials you need to survive.
-A tree knows intuitively when to change… when it is time to bloom, when it is time to rest, when it is time to spread it’s leaves and grow. Don’t get too caught up on one thing that you forget all the different stages of growth.
-Every tree contributes back, either with oxygen, paper products, or aesthetics. Don’t forget to give back on your journey as well.
