First, I want to thank Kimberly Sentek for asking me to join this hop. Not only is she an awesome author, but we share a LOVE for Bon Jovi and Pysch.
A little about Kimberly, she has spent her entire life telling stories so much so that her parents swear she was born talking. A lifelong New Jersey resident, she is owned by two cockapoos, Nico and Tugger. Her first book, Oh Brother!: A Nico and Tugger Tale, is a story of sibling rivalry that was inspired by her dogs. According to a ForeWord Clarion review, “Many reader's children and adults will hope there are more Nico and Tugger tales as charming as this one following soon.”
Kimberly plans to continue writing a series of books about her two furry children where both main characters tell their sides of the same story. The second book in the Nico and Tugger Tale series is tentatively scheduled for release in January 2015.

This series holds a special place in my heart. This was the series that hooked me into reading. I had every book (lined up in numerical order) and would read one a night as a kid. My joy of reading has been a constant through my life, and I can trace it back to these books.
These books are old school favorites, and deserve an old-school favorite chocolate bar. I pair the Baby-Sitters Club with a classic Hershey's Bar
This has to be one of the best written novels I have ever read. As an avid reader I both praised and cursed my brother for giving me this perfect gift. At that time, with a toddler, and pregnant, sleep was rare. I sacrificed weeks of nap times and extra sleep to finish this novel... but it was worth every extra cup of coffee and bags under my eyes. This is an epic that I encourage everyone to read.
Due to it's epic proportions with masterful world building, character development, great love, and perfect balance, I pair it with Smores. An equally structured treat with exceptional and lasting flavor.
As I was trying to come up with pairings, I realized it might seem odd if I came up with six different fantasy/sci-fi choices (not odd for me, but I thought you might want some variety)... so I thought I would pair up my favorite romance. But I'm the kind of romantic that needs my romance simmered down with another genre. So I lean toward the historical romance.
The romance in the Other Boleyn Girl is just the right mixture of romance, history, and drama, so I pair it with white chocolate. A chocolate that is so sweet, I can only have it in small doses.
The Giving Tree happens to be one of my favorite books to this day. The simple telling of the friendship between this boy and the tree as portrayed throughout the years manages to teach both the old and the young what's important in life - friendship and love.
And because this book is primarily sold for children, I pair it with a small piece of chocolate, the Hershey Kiss.
Fantasy is one of my favorite genres, and so I thought this would be the time to share one of my newest favorites. Miss Mabel's has everything a great fantasy novel needs - a relatable heroine, real struggles, and enough twists and turns to keep you on the edge of your seat.
I pair Miss Mable's with a Snickers. The Snicker's catch phrase simply states - so good it satisfies. That is what I can say about Miss Mabel's. It hits all the right notes and leaves you with that great combination of feeling full, yet ready for another.
I saved the best for last... Ender's Game (and the rest of teh Speaker of the Dead series) holds a special place in my heart because this is the first book that made me 'think.' While I read this, new philosophical ideas and debates hit me that I had never encountered before. This book is masterful at blending the story with heart wrenching and mind twisting ideas.
And because this is a book I love to share, I am pairing it with a type of chocolate that deserves sharing - chocolate chip cookies
