Did you always want to be a writer?
NO—but I’ve always been a creator. From the time I was little I wanted to be an artist and, writing is a natural pathway from art.
What inspires you to write?
Many things! Good movies and books, funny things I hear, dreams, a piece of art. I find inspiration in so many places.
Do you have a daily writing routine/schedule?
This is one of my goals for 2013. With 4 kids and lots of projects going on every day is a question of what needs to go at the top of the priority list today. I’m trying to put a daily writing goal at the top every day. So far, 2013 has been pretty successful.
Any tips for new authors?
Read, read, read. Write, write, write. And find a critique group with a mixture of new writers and old pros.
What is the current Book you are promoting?
Can you describe your main character for us?
Maewyn Bridgepost is the smallest Hapenny in her village, but she is spunky and spirited and knows that family is worth its weight in gold. Plus, her nose and ears wiggle.
Sounds like a pretty cool character! Wish my nose & ears wiggled.
