Did you always want to be a writer?
Nope. I wanted to be a biomedical engineer. Physics got in the way of that dream. I became a teacher instead to help others go where I couldn’t.
What inspires you to write?
I was mad so I used that to manipulate someone else’s life when it felt like I couldn’t make happen what I wanted in mine. Today I find inspiration almost everywhere I look. I guess you could say that now – I’m paying attention.
Do you have a daily writing routine/schedule?
I wish. I’m working on this. I truly believe it’s important and I’ve even written blogs about it, but sometimes it’s hard to take my own advice and force routine into my hectic life.
What is the current Book you are promoting?

Can you describe your main characters for us?
Owen is loyal and true. He doesn’t see himself as a hero and leader but life keeps pushing him into that role and it’s not in his nature sit back and watch from the sidelines.
White Eagle is wise. He is Owen’s mentor and rock. Of all my characters he was most influenced by real people. White Eagle is a blend of my dad, his longtime friend who is a karate instructor and a new friend who really does work in a pawnshop.
Marlo is Owen’s techy best friend. He is the classic nerd and a valuable guy to have around. His nerdiness is tempered by a snappy wit and big heart.
Lucie is complicated but brave and smart. Her own personal life looks wonderful to outsiders but is a mess if you dig just below the surface.

There will be five books in The Secret Watchers series. I also have plans for a young adult dystopian and a childrens’ book. My youngest son would like to co-author an epic fantasy series with dragons, swords and castles. We’ll see, you never know where my imagination may take you!
